FAQ

  • How do I get started?
When you decide to use our services for the very first time we will arrange a complimentary visit to your home at a mutually convenient time. This enables me to meet and understand you and your pets. We can then check through your requirements and pets routine, you can inform me of your pets likes/dislikes favourite toys, games, dietary requirements, medication your pet may be on or any other requirements you may have. We can then go through the paperwork and arrange for your first cat sitting visit
  • Why choose a cat sitter?
Pets get to stay in their own environment with familiar sights and smells around them and can continue to enjoy their own routine while avoiding the transport/travel trauma associated with going to catteries. Also minimises exposure to illness from other animals. Most of all happy, contented pets and peace of mind for you. I know from previous experiences, my cats did not like the cattery. When I went to pick them up, they looked so down in the dumps. However, they enjoyed the stimulation of my regular cat sitter and the pictures he sent me playing with them painted a thousand words.
  • Do I need to leave anything out for the visit?
It would be really helpful if a dustpan and brush and any cleaning products required are left out so can ensure all feeding and litter tray areas are kept clean, if you could also leave plenty litter and food supplies this will help massively and save us having to purchase extra supplies in your absence.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, BACS transfer or if you are a package customer we can provide details for you to set up a standing order. Payments for services is payable either at your consultation or left me for me when we visit your kitty.
  • Is your company insured?

Yes of course, We take our business seriously and hold full liability insurance. I am also fully DBS checked. I am a registered key holder with the local authority.

  • What happens in an emergency?
This is very unlikely to happen which is the first factor to consider. We would assess the situation and call you to obtain your instructions. If in the event we could not get hold of you and your pet required medical attention we would take your pet to your nominated veterinary practice or depending upon our location/circumstances a vet in the locality.
  • If I’m not in how do you get in to care for my pets?
Most of our regular customers take advantage of our complimentary key holding service which comes in handy if you ever misplace your keys, one quick call and we can be there asap. If however you choose not to use this service; key collection is complimentary on your first booking, so when we visit you for your pet consultation you may provide us with a set of keys which we will use for your booking but we will return the keys to your possession after the service.
